Atölye Deneme was founded as a “trial studio” in 2010 to produce works on all fields of art that especially targets disadvantaged children, youth and women. It included ecology among its working fields since 2014 and continues working as a non profit organization that aim to produce cultural, artistic and social projects, such as festivals, workshops and meetings, which would contribute to the development of ecological consciousness, local culture and production. The association primarily works in its close region and targets experimenting and developing nature friendly, participatory and creative methods in artistic works.

Atölye Deneme has been partner in many European Union Erasmus+ Youth in Action program projects such as Youth Exchange Learn2Learn (2017) that took place in Norway, Cyprus, Portugal and Turkey in partnership of local organizations, Making the Difference (2016) in Portugal, The Artistic Lightness of Being a Trainer (2015) in Italy, SOHO European Training Course for EVS Support People (2013) in Malta and Circus for Inclusion (2013) in Spain.

In 2012 we conducted “I Want to Tell My Dream / Rüyamı Anlatmak İstiyorum” project in Izmir supported by European Commission Youth Program. Children and young people participated to short film, painting, photography and design workshops and produced works on the topic of environment. In another European Union supported project entitled “Sculpture of Life” (2011) we conducted drama, rhythm and painting workshops with children at the historical Havagazı Factory Youth Center in Izmir.
